Whether you want to sell your car or not, a renovation can be useful, especially a car that gets older is eventually covered with scars through years.
Yet apart from shock and deep scratches, it is possible to give a facelift to the exterior of your vehicle, and also in its interior: dull plastic and stained tissues will be just a bad memory!
The operation prior to any makeover of the body: a real washing, in the rules of art.
Two rules to follow:
1.Absolutely avoid brush rolls service stations: the hairs on their brushes, too hard, are certainly effective, but they scratch the body, especially if the paint is already old.
2. Prefer a pressure washer (while respecting the protocol).
Here’s how:
Warning: absolutely avoid spreading the jet pressure washer to the engine, the water pressure could enter the electrical and electronic circuits.
Once the car is perfectly washed, we go to the renovation of painting. Many products are commercially available. Depending on the state your body is used:
Once the body is completely clean and dry, park the vehicle in the preferably shade ;
Uniformly apply the product with a cloth;
Proceed in small areas;
Be careful not to put the product on plastics, joints or windows (as this will cause indelible white marks);
Polish with a soft cloth, or better, a chamois, using circular movements.
Good to know: the spots embedded in plastics retire with a cloth soaked in alcohol at 90 °.
To restore the luster to the cabin, the first vital step is to go everywhere to vacuum thoroughly. Then you tackle the various components inside:
The fabrics and carpets: remove stains with a cloth soaked in hydrogen peroxide or ammonia to 28%.
Plastic surfaces: use sponge containing a detergent product, then rinse and dry.
The seats and trim: spray a specific product, then wipe with a microfiber.
The windows and the windshield: spray with spray glass cleaner (silicate-free) or white vinegar solution.

Note: to deodorize the cabin, place apple wedges under seats, is effective against cigarette odors, or otherwise sprinkle baking soda carpet and seats, leaving for 15 minutes, then vacuum.
Wheels, door handles, and various trims: chrome is back in fashion. But it tarnishes quickly as exposed and requires regular maintenance.
Again, no need for dedicated product, even if the offer is substantial. Use a household cleaner for cleaning silverware. But take care that your own or chrome.
For cleaning and polishing chrome, here are some tips:
Skip the soap on the damp surface, do not flush but just dry with a chamois;
Apply a cloth soaked in apple cider vinegar, rinse and dry with a microfiber cloth;
Rub the chrome with ash or talc.
Good to know: To prevent rust from settling on the chrome, you can brush them with marine varnish or colorless wax.
The weather and the sun eventually opaque headlights, they become less effective and their appearance is not flattering. To remedy this, a very cheap product proves incredibly effective: toothpaste!
Uniformly apply toothpaste (standard) on optical previously washed headlights;
Operate in circular motions until the light is clean;
Wash water lighthouse, taking care to remove all traces;
Wipe the optics with a soft cloth.
Good to know: you can use the mosquito spray for cleaning, the result is stunning!
Having a clean car is certainly more pleasant but it is also a basic act for the maintenance of your vehicle. Better to wash regularly to avoid big cleaning sessions or difficult to remove tasks that will reduce its resale value.
Follow the necessary steps to clean the inside of your car and discover some tips to polish your car.
Begin by removing the floor mats and shake them out.
Then vacuum around your vehicle. Use a long thin beak, which can slip into inaccessible places, between the seats for example.
If your carpets are stained, you can rent a carpet cleaner, also called vacuum injection / extraction, which inject water and a detergent product before vacuuming.
If you have lots of dog hair or cat, for example, use a brush along the cleaner to loosen the carpet.
Finally, in case of bad odor, use baking soda: sprinkle all over the carpet, let sit for several hours and then vacuum again.
Wash all interior tiles (front windshield and rear window) with glass cleaner and a soft cloth. Consider also mirrors.
Warning: when cleaning the rear window, place your cloth in the horizontal direction, the defrosting filaments, to avoid damage.
Start by vacuuming every corner of the seats of your car.
If fabric and stained, you can also use a carpet cleaner or baking soda.
