The carmakers are increasingly improving by downward the engine capacity to ensure emission regulations and tax policies in many markets.

With emissions regulations worldwide more and more stringent, many cars company have been adjusted to improve fuel economy and also maintaining performance. One of these actions is the reduction of engine capacity.  Today, there are a lot of under 1.6L volume engine. Here are 10 of the smallest capacity engine using.

1. Smart 0.9L Turbocharged Three Cylinder

3. Mitsubishi 1.2L Three Cylinder
